1） so that可以连在一起引导结果从句时,可以分开,也可以放在一起.so that分开时,so后面可接“形容词,副词或分词；so位于句首,主句的主谓要倒装.
例 1 The book was so boring that he gave up reading it half way through.
这本书非常乏味,他读了一半就不读了.
例 2 He spoke so rapidly that we could not clearly understand him.
他说得太快,使我们无法清楚地了解他的意思.
例 3 So badly was he injured that he had to be sent to the hospital.
他的伤势很重,不得不送医院.
例 4 Susan was so exhausted that she couldn’t eat dinner.
苏姗疲惫得吃不下晚餐.
2） such (…) that只用来引导结果状语从句.such后面可以接单数可数名词,复数可数名词,不可数名词.such放在句首,主谓要倒装.
例 1 This is such a useful dictionary that I’m thinking of buying it.

在表示如此。。以致于。。的时候，如He is so good a man that...,He is such a good man that....我们只可以说The man is so good that...而不能换成such

so that和such that的区别就相当于so和such的区别，so是修饰形容词或者副词的，比如so beautiful a girl,such的中心语是名词比如such a beautiful girl.so that和such that意思都一样，就是用法不同
