Whenever and wherever it is, the nature of human should be same one. Everyone has emotions and desires, who has the feelings of joy, anger, sorrow and pleaure, who has love and hate. The different nations have some particular specilities because of their geographical enviornments, their historical backgrounds, their development processes and other factors. .Comparing with China that has a more-than-5000-year long history, America only has experienced her more-than-200-year historical development. Therefore, it is inevitable that between Chinese and Americans there are some cultural differences and cultural shocks that can be presented in different ways. In particular, they have various attitudes towards marriage and marriage modes. There are some differences in marriage conception owing to the different cultural backgrounds. The study compartively analyzes in the aim of marriage, the mode of spouse selection, the standard of relationship beween a couple. It proves that they have their respective styles between Chinese culture and American culture.
