第一个问题：我个人认为用 had struck 也是可以的.之所以用struck 是前后两个动作之间的延续性不强.比如：he took the wallet before he went out.他出门前,拿上了钱包.这个里边用had taken 也是可以的,但是表达的意思就有偏差了!他出门前就拿上了钱包!第二个,诚如楼上所说,是上边的意思!只是一个副词做修饰!这样的用法很多.其实第一个问题,比较难回答,是语感的问题.个人觉得,两种方法都是可以的,但是表达的意思就有偏差了!不知道你理解没有?
